With caravan theft now approaching 5,000 per year and assuming an average claim of £16,000 this means a payout of almost £80 million for UK insurance companies.

It is the use of oxyacetylene that is giving the biggest headache, since established security products can be cut away in less than a minute.

The JSB HUBLOCK has been specifically designed to resist oxyacetylene cutting equipment and professional removal tools.

Due to it's high thermal mass, a prolonged attempt to burn off the HUBLOCK will destroy the hub bearings and immobilise the caravan.

Thieves look for the easiest targets and need to complete a theft in the shortest time posible. For this reason the JSB HUBLOCK is always likely to be avoided.

The HUBLOCK has been accepted by most insurance companies, and can be fitted as an alternative to a wheel clamp.

The HUBLOCK is bolted directly to the brake hub after the removal of the wheel. Four top quality security bolts lock the disc in place, and it can only be removed using the unique security key provided.

IMPORTANT

The security bolts should be fitted hand tight only, and a torque wrench used to set the final fixing torque of 65 ft lb. (88Nm)

Do not over-tighten security bolts beyond the recommended setting, since this can damage the security key.

A torque wrench should be used when refitting caravan wheels.

Please check the manufacturer's instruction manual for their recommended torque setting.

The security bolts have a seperate hardened anti-drill head, it's narrow groove key pattern with unlimited combinations prevents key duplication.

A nylon key pouch is available for key storage and helps prevent misplaced keys.

A computerised key registration and replacement program is in place.
